Plum City was settled in 1857 by French and American Indian fur traders, and laid out and platted in the same year by Frank Moser and Stephen K. Gates. The name "Plum City" was inspired by the abundance of plum trees that lined Plum Creek and the surrounding valleys.

New Employee
Please welcome Ian Nelson to the Village of Plum City. He was hired as the Street Superintendant and started working last Monday. You will still see Brad Anderson on occasion as he helps with the transition period. The street sweeper has been scheduled and next week Ian and John will begin patching streets and repairing any yard damage due to annual snow plowing.
