Plum City was settled in 1857 by French and American Indian fur traders, and laid out and platted in the same year by Frank Moser and Stephen K. Gates. The name "Plum City" was inspired by the abundance of plum trees that lined Plum Creek and the surrounding valleys.

The November Village Board meeting has been rescheduled for November 10, 2025 at 6:00pm at the Village Hall. This will also include approval of the 2026 budget.

Winter parking signs will soon be posted. All vehicles on the street will need to be moved if there is 2" or more of snow until removal is complete. Vehicles found in violation will be ticketed and removed at the owner's expense. Let's help make snow removal safe and efficient for the Village Street Department.
